Zunto Nakatani Becomes Unified Bantamweight Champion

On June 8, at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan, WBC bantamweight champion Zunto Nakatani (31-0, 24 KOs) unified titles with a commanding performance against IBF titleholder Ryosuke Nishida (10-1, 2 KOs).

The bout ended by RTD in Round 6 after Nishida's corner stopped the fight due to a severe hematoma near his right eye, which left him nearly blind on that side. The injury was caused by a sustained barrage of accurate shots from Nakatani, who dictated the pace throughout the contest.

This marks Nishida’s first professional loss, while Nakatani extends his knockout streak to five consecutive fights, solidifying his position as one of the elite forces in the bantamweight division.
