On May 25 in Kalisz, Poland, a showdown for the interim WBC bridgerweight title (limit: 101.6 kg) took place between two local fighters: veteran Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (66-4-1, 45 KOs) and Adam Balski (20-3, 12 KOs).
The bout ended inside the distance. Wlodarczyk was dropped in Round 5, but rallied back and sent Balski to the canvas in Rounds 8 and 10. After the second knockdown, the referee waved off the fight — TKO 10.
At 43 years old, Wlodarczyk remains undefeated since 2017, when he lost to Murat Gassiev. This win marks his 13th consecutive victory, and now he holds a WBC belt once again.
