Teofimo Picks Crawford Over Canelo: “That Means I Beat Them Both”

WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez believes Terence Crawford will defeat Canelo Alvarez — and he already sees the bigger picture for himself.

“I’m picking Crawford, because if he beats Canelo, then when I fight him and win, it means I beat them both.

Canelo’s team doesn’t want Teofimo — that’s not on us. It all depends on what the champion wants. I don’t want to sit still. I’m a fighter — and a damn good one.

I want to ask you guys something. A lot of people have criticized me for not being able to cut off the ring. But when Canelo fought William Scull, he couldn’t cut him off either — yet nobody criticized him. Is it just because I’m not Canelo?” Lopez stated.
