Ryan Garcia names his most wanted fight

American boxer Ryan Garcia has expressed his desire to stage a rematch with WBA Welterweight champion Rolando Romero.

“I really want the rematch with Rolly — I can’t leave things the way they are. I want to get back what’s mine. He had the title, and now he’s been elevated to full champion, so why not fight for the belt and take back what’s mine when I’m at my best. I just want to face him when I’m at my peak — that’s all that matters to me. I want to be beaten when I’m at my best, and if that happens, so be it. I want this rematch, there was a rematch clause in the contract, so let’s make it happen,” Garcia said.

The bout between Ryan Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) and Rolando Romero (17-2, 13 KOs) took place on May 2 and ended with Romero winning by unanimous decision. Garcia was knocked down in the second round.
