Former British super-lightweight titlist Jack Catterall (31-2, 13 KOs) has pitched himself as the next opponent for newly elevated WBA welterweight champion Rolando “Rolly” Romero (17-2, 13 KOs).
“With me, Turki. Let’s make it happen,” Catterall wrote, replying to a repost from Turki Alalshikh—Saudi Arabia’s entertainment chief—who had shared Romero’s question asking whom he should fight next.
In 2025 Catterall boxed twice: he lost the interim title to Arnold Barboza and then stopped Harlem Eubank.
Romero has not returned to the ring since defeating Ryan Garcia; he was recently upgraded to full WBA champion after Jaron Ennis vacated the belt.
