Ramírez Retains His Belts Against Dorticos

On June 28 at Honda Center in Anaheim, USA, Mexican champion Gilberto Ramírez (48-1, 30 KO) faced Cuban puncher Yuniel Dorticos (27-3, 25 KO) in a scheduled 12-rounder for the WBA and WBO Cruiserweight titles (200 lb limit).

The bout went the distance, and the judges returned scores of 115–112, 115–112 and 117–110—an unanimous decision in favour of Ramírez.

It marks Ramírez’s fourth straight win on the cards, while Dorticos sees his three-fight knockout streak snapped.
