Piers Morgan Reacts to Jake vs. Joshua

British journalist and TV presenter Piers Morgan has shared his thoughts on the career of American influencer and boxer Jake Paul.

Morgan has been openly skeptical about Paul’s level of opposition, saying his bouts are more entertainment than sporting significance. However, mindful of a potential legal claim from Paul’s team, he clarified that he does not believe the fights are fixed or prearranged.

“I wrote a few weeks ago that Jake Paul’s boxing career is ‘boring, choreographed crap.’ What I meant was that most of his fights have been against older opponents past their prime.

These fights can be mutually beneficial and entertaining, but they don’t show how he fares against active, ranked boxers and therefore do little for the sport’s credibility. I wasn’t suggesting the results were predetermined, and certainly didn’t mean to imply anything illegal.

But if reports that Jake is in talks to fight Anthony Joshua are true, then that would certainly be a serious and credible fight against one of the best heavyweights in the world. Jake is always welcome to come on Uncensored to discuss it and have a verbal fight with me anytime,” Morgan wrote.

In June, Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., winning by unanimous decision.
