Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), current holder of the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles, has expressed his readiness to face former champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) a third time.
“If Tyson Fury resumes his career, maybe we could organize another fight. No problem. I’m ready,” Usyk said.
The first meeting between Usyk and Fury for the undisputed heavyweight title took place on May 18, 2024, and ended with a split decision victory for Usyk. In the rematch on December 21, 2024, the Ukrainian once again emerged victorious, this time by unanimous decision. Shortly after, Fury announced his retirement from professional boxing.
Usyk’s next bout is scheduled for July 19, when he will face IBF champion Daniel Dubois in a rematch. The undisputed heavyweight title will once again be on the line, as Usyk attempts to claim the status for a third time in his career.
