Matchroom has officially announced the next opponent for 33-year-old Brit David Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs): Russian-born, Canada-based puncher Arslanbek Makhmudov (20-2, 19 KOs).
The fight will take place in Sheffield on 11 November.
In his previous outing Allen stopped Johnny Fisher in five rounds, avenging a disputed loss from their first meeting. Over his last four contests Makhmudov has two early defeats – to Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello – and two inside-the-distance wins over Rovcanin and Brown.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has already promised Allen that if he wins again, the door opens to the biggest names – including Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua.
