Munguia Responds to Positive B-Sample Doping Test

Mexican super middleweight boxer Jaime Munguia has responded to the results of his B-sample, which tested positive for exogenous testosterone.

“I’ve spent my entire career and life doing things the right way — and this time is no exception. I love boxing, and I’m the first one who wants everything to be clarified because boxing is my life.

I can’t wait to return to the ring. We’re going to prove that I’ve never disrespected the sport, my opponents, or misled the fans,” said Munguia.

As a reminder, Munguia now faces a potential suspension and the annulment of his rematch win over Bruno Surace, depending on the outcome of the doping investigation.
