British heavyweight Frazer Clarke (9-1-1, 7 KOs) has expressed his desire to step into the ring against fellow Briton Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs).
“There’s a lot of talk about it, and Whyte’s name has come up several times in recent weeks. I’m open to that option. I have a lot of respect for Dillian and what he’s achieved.
I’m doing my own thing, trying to move up the rankings, and that would be a great fight. Again, he’s probably looking for bigger fights than Frazer Clarke, but given the current dynamics in boxing — fights like that can happen easily. If I get the offer — it’s a great option.
I’d take that fight immediately. Maybe it’s a different situation for him, and I understand that. But he’s not getting any younger, and staying active wouldn’t hurt — I’m available, in shape, and ready. So if the call ever comes — I’ll take it straight away. I’m ready if he’s ready.
A lot of people are talking about a potential fight between me and the winner of Chikadze vs. Adeleye — if that happens, great. If not, there are other big British fights, and Dillian Whyte is just one of them,” said Clarke.
In April, Frazer Clarke bounced back from his loss to Fabio Wardley by knocking out Ebenezer Tetteh in the first round.
