Warren Discussed When the Joshua vs. Fury Fight Could Happen: “If It Happens at All”

Tyson Fury, Frank Warren / Seconds Out

The head of the promotional company Queensberry, Frank Warren, discussed a potential mega-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

“AJ, if I understand correctly, is going to fight again in February. Therefore, you shouldn't expect Tyson to just sit around, because in that case, he would be without practice until August or September.

He needs to warm up a bit and get into condition. Personally, I would prefer to go straight to the big fight, but that’s not going to happen.

I think if the fight happens, it will be then—in August or September. But you have to remember that AJ has changed trainers again. He’ll want to get used to the new staff. There are people there who obviously know both Tyson and Joshua well, as they work with Usyk.

There are several options for Tyson’s return. If the fight truly takes place, it will be discussed after the New Year,” Warren said.

Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) knocked out Jake Paul in the 6th round of his previous bout, boxing for the first time since 2024 when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois. Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) has not entered the ring since 2024, when he suffered two consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
