British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16 KOs) shared his experience sparring with the WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).
"Sparring with Usyk felt more like a mental battle than a physical one. Usyk does a lot of subtle things that keep you constantly tense. You're always thinking and trying to predict his next move: what's his plan, how is he going to act? Is he going to do the same thing or something different?
There were so many small nuances during sparring that I only came to understand afterward," said Wardley.
On May 18, Usyk will face Tyson Fury in a bout for the undisputed championship. Wardley has previously shared whom he considers the favorite.
