Is Usyk’s Move to Cruiserweight Serious? Alexander Krassyuk Responds

Alexander Krassyuk, promoter of WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, addressed questions about the seriousness of the Ukrainian boxer’s intention to move back down to cruiserweight.

"Usyk is serious when he says he wants to return to cruiserweight and gather all the belts again.

It may affect him. Age can affect him, and time can affect him. But it’s up to him—he’s the one who makes that decision.

I’ve supported him throughout his career, and I will continue to support him in the future," said Krassyuk.

The rematch between Usyk and Fury will take place on December 21. According to Usyk, after he wins, he might return to the cruiserweight division, where he once reigned as the undisputed champion.
