Promoter Gérard Teysseron and his company EuroProm were the sole participants in the purse bid for the mandatory EBU Super Middleweight title defense of Callum Simpson against Kevin Lele Sadjo.
EuroProm submitted a winning bid of €15,000, with the purse to be split 60-40 in favor of the champion.
The date and venue have yet to be announced, but the fight is considered unlikely to take place. The most probable scenario is that Simpson will vacate the title, while Sadjo will face the highest-ranked available contender for the vacant belt.
Callum Simpson (18-0, 13 KOs) last fought in June, when he stopped Ivan Zucco via 10th-round TKO.
In August, Kevin Lele Sadjo (26-0, 23 KOs) forced Martin Bulacio’s corner to pull their fighter out after the fourth round, earning another stoppage victory.
