Pulev vs Hunter Purse Bid Scheduled for Late May

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has officially scheduled a purse bid for the heavyweight clash between WBA "regular" champion Kubrat Pulev (32-3, 14 KOs) and American contender Michael Hunter (24-1-2, 17 KOs). The bid is set to take place on May 27.

Since the fight was ordered on April 4, the two camps have failed to reach a deal, prompting the WBA to intervene and set a deadline.

The winner of Pulev vs Hunter will be required to face the victor of the upcoming bout between Fabio Wardley and Justis Huni, who are set to fight for the WBA interim heavyweight title.
