Promoter: “It’s Canelo, Then Jermall Charlo”

Tom Brown, president of TGB Promotions and promoter of super middleweight Jermall Charlo (34-0, 23 KOs), shared his thoughts on the fighter’s victorious return against Thomas LaManna (39-6-1, 18 KOs).

“Jermall Charlo has jumped straight to the top of the rankings as the No. 1 contender at super middleweight. It’s Canelo Alvarez, and then it’s him. I’d put Armando Reséndiz at No. 2 behind him,” said Brown.

Charlo stopped LaManna via sixth-round TKO on May 31, marking his first fight in over a year. The win propelled him to No. 2 in the WBA rankings at 168 pounds.
