Klitschko on Usyk: “It Gives Us Strength to Hold On”

Former unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko shared his thoughts on Oleksandr Usyk's (22-0, 14 KOs) victory over British fighter and Klitschko's former opponent Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

"Imagine the pressure on Oleksandr. This victory was very important for us Ukrainians.

Every night and daily, Russia bombards us.

This victory gives us hope that this ridiculous war will end. And it gives us strength to hold on against any opponent we face in the boxing ring and on the battlefield," Klitschko told TNT Sports.

Usyk defeated Fury by split decision and knocked the Brit down during the bout.
