On May 1 at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, local WBC bridgerweight champion Kevin Lerena (31-3, 15 KOs) successfully defended his title with a swift win over Ukraine’s Serhii Radchenko (11-9, 5 KOs).

The bout ended in round 3 via technical knockout, following another knockdown scored by Lerena.

This was a bounce-back victory for Lerena, who had previously lost to Justis Huni in a heavyweight bout in March.

For Radchenko, the defeat ends a four-fight winning streak. In his last outing, the Ukrainian earned a unanimous decision win over Andrii Peshko.
