Josh Kelly is the New IBF Super Welterweight Champion

On January 31, at the Newcastle Arena in Newcastle, Great Britain, a Super Welterweight (up to 69.9 kg) bout took place between IBF champion Bakhram Murtazaliev (23-1, 17 KOs) and local boxer Josh Kelly (18-1-1, 9 KOs).

The bout ended with a victory for Kelly by majority decision. The judges' scores: 113-113, 115-111, and 114-113 in favor of the new champion.

In the second round, Murtazaliev was knocked down, while in the ninth, Kelly was on the canvas.

For Josh Kelly, this is the first world title of his career, while for Murtazaliev, it is his first defeat.
