According to Sky Sports, American Heavyweight Jared Anderson will be offered a bout against Cuban Frank Sanchez. It would be an eliminator — the winner will earn the right to fight for the IBF title in the Heavyweight division.
Promotional company Top Rank has confirmed its readiness to organize such a matchup.
Efe Ajagba, Moses Itauma, Richard Torrez Jr., and Filip Hrgovic have already turned down a fight with Sanchez. The latest to decline was Daniel Dubois, despite the fact that the IBF had already appointed talks for him with Sanchez.
At the moment, the IBF title is held by Ukraine’s undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.
After his loss to Martin Bakole, Anderson had one fight — he outboxed Marios Kollias.
