Jake Predicts a Clear Knockout Round for Joshua: “I Will Become King of Boxing”

Heavyweight division boxer Jake Paul spoke about how he sees pathways to victory over the British Heavyweight, former unified champion Anthony Joshua.

“I see a lot of ways to win within his style, and styles make fights. We all know that. He’s lost to guys that are generally smaller, lighter, and faster than him. I see gaps in his game, I see punches that I can land to hurt him.

Obviously, the punches he can land on me can knock me out. He’s more experienced, an Olympic champion, a two-time Heavyweight world champion. It’s truly crazy. I need to have a perfect fight to beat this guy. But I think I’m capable of it,” said Paul in a comment to Si.

Jake also added:

“I think I’ll have a few tough rounds. Then I’ll adjust to his style, and he’ll get a little tired. And I will set up the punch—I won't say exactly which one, but I see it. And it will end in the 5th or 6th round.”

“I always say, don't respect me for doing this. Respect me for beating him. I’m not just going there—I’m going to win. This will shock boxing and I will become the king of boxing on December 19,” said Paul.

The bout will take place on December 19 and is scheduled for a maximum of 8 rounds. This will be Joshua’s first confrontation since his stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois. It was previously reported that Jake enlisted Don Charles—the trainer who prepared Dubois for the fight with Joshua.
