According to The Ring, a heavyweight showdown between 20-year-old rising prospect Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs) and veteran Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs) is in the final stages of being agreed.
The all-British clash is expected to headline a major boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 16.
The undercard is also shaping up with the following matchups:
– Nick Ball (22-0-1, 13 KOs) will defend his WBA featherweight title against unbeaten Australian Sam Goodman (20-0, 8 KOs)
– Anthony Cacace (24-1, 9 KOs), the reigning IBO super featherweight champion, will face Raymond Ford (17-1-1, 8 KOs)
Earlier this year, Dillian Whyte was scheduled to fight Ukrainian heavyweight Vladyslav Sirenko on June 7, but the British side pulled out a week before the bout. Shortly afterward, Queensberry Promotions founder Frank Warren revealed Whyte had secured a "big fight" for August instead.
On May 24, Moses Itauma scored a dominant second-round TKO over Mike Balogun.
