Inoue to Fight in Riyadh in December – Turki Alalshikh

The chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh has unveiled plans for yet another year-end blockbuster: a 27 December card in Riyadh head-lined by Japan’s Naoya Inoue (30-0, 27 KO), the undisputed Super-Bantamweight champion.

According to the organiser, negotiations are in the final stretch for Inoue to face undefeated Mexican Alan Picasso (31-0-1, 17 KO):

On 27 December we have Inoue. We’re close to finalising Inoue vs Alan Picasso as the main event, and the whole card will feature big fights—the hottest Japan-vs-Mexico match-ups,” Alalshikh said.

Earlier, Alalshikh disclosed Canelo Álvarez’s potential opponents after the Terence Crawford bout and teased a stacked November show.

4 May: Inoue stopped Ramón Cardenas via TKO in round eight.

14 December: Picasso last appeared against Eison Cuello, winning by third-round knockout.
