According to TMZ, the domestic violence case against Gervonta Davis, in which he was accused of “battery” against the mother of his two children, was dismissed on Tuesday. Officials did not disclose how they reached that decision.
Davis was arrested on July 11 after the alleged victim told local police she had been assaulted following an argument on June 15.
Prior to this, in May 2023, Davis was sentenced to up to three years of probation, 90 days of home detention, and 200 hours of community service for a 2020 car accident. In December 2022, he was arrested in Florida on domestic violence charges; however, his girlfriend later stated that he had not harmed her and called her 911 report unnecessary.
Davis’s planned fight against Lamont Roach on August 16 has been postponed indefinitely.
