Tyson Fury Could Return to the Ring Against Andy Ruiz: Insider Reports Negotiations

American journalist Abraham Gonzalez, a member of the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), has reported on a potential bout between former heavyweight champions, Briton Tyson Fury and Mexican Andy Ruiz.

“I was told that there are real discussions about a possible fight between Tyson Fury and Andy Ruiz. Let's see if it works out,” Gonzalez wrote.

In 2024, Tyson announced his retirement following two consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

His return is planned for 2026. While the identity of his first opponent upon resuming his career remains officially unconfirmed, the roadmap includes a future showdown against Anthony Joshua.
