Queensberry Promotions founder and head Frank Warren has revealed the challenges of finding an opponent for 20-year-old British Heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma.
“Yes, some flat out refuse. And others say ‘no’ in a different way — by demanding crazy money, which makes the fight financially unviable.
But there are those who genuinely want to face him. We’re currently in negotiations with several fighters. We’ve kept our promises to him before, and we’ll keep them again at the end of the year,” Warren told talkSPORT.
Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) is set to headline the December 13 card at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom. On the same show, Derek Chisora will compete in his 50th career bout, though he too is still awaiting an opponent.
