Fierro Withdraws from Cruz Rematch - Insider Report

Mexican fighter Ángel Fierro has been forced to pull out of his scheduled rematch with Isaac Cruz, originally set for the early hours of 20 July in Las Vegas, USA.

According to The Ring insider Mike Coppinger, Fierro was taken to hospital for evaluation after experiencing health issues during the weight‑cut.

The 63.5 kg (140 lb) bout between Ángel Fierro (23‑3‑2, 18 KOs) and Isaac Cruz (27‑3‑1, 18 KOs) was slated for the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Mario Barrios.

It is not yet known whether Cruz will receive a replacement opponent.
