Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has revealed new details regarding the highly anticipated rematch between Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) and IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs).
“I know that September 27 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the date proposed by Turki Alalshikh.
We’re ready. We’ve signed a two-fight deal. Conor is desperate for the rematch. He feels he’ll improve significantly going into this next one. That was his first fight in 14–15 months — and up at middleweight.
They gave us a night we’ll never forget, in many ways. Both fighters deserve massive respect. We’d love to run it back.”
The first bout between Eubank Jr. and Benn took place on April 26 and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Chris Eubank Jr. A full breakdown of that fight is available via the link.
