Egidijus Kavaliauskas Is the New EBU Welterweight Champion

On November 28 in Kaunas, Lithuania, at Zalgiris Arena, 37-year-old Egidijus Kavaliauskas faced 27-year-old Samuel Molina. The fight ended in a split decision victory for Kavaliauskas.

With the win, Kavaliauskas became the new European champion under the EBU at Welterweight.

For Molina (32-4-1, 15 KOs), it is his first loss since 2023. Kavaliauskas (25-3-1, 19 KOs) boxed for the second time in 2025. In his previous outing, he lost to France’s Souleymane Cissokho in a bout for the WBC Silver title.
