Mexican-American Oscar Duarte (29-2-1, 23 KOs) will face Kenneth Sims Jr. (22-2-1, 8 KOs) of the United States in a 12-round Junior Welterweight bout (up to 63.5 kg), according to The Ring. The fight is scheduled for August 2 in Chicago, USA.
Duarte and Sims were originally slated to meet on November 16, but the bout was cancelled after Sims suffered an injury. He was replaced by Bojtijon Akhmedov, whom Duarte went on to defeat via unanimous decision.
Since then, Oscar Duarte returned to the ring in February and knocked out Miguel Madueño in the seventh round. On the same card, Kenneth Sims secured a unanimous decision win over Kendo Castaneda.
