
Mexican boxer David Picasso has agreed to a fight with Japan’s undisputed Super Bantamweight Champion Naoya Inoue, reports ESPN insider Salvador Rodriguez, citing promoter Fernando Beltran.
According to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, the likely date for the fight is December 27.
For the bout to take place, Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) must first defeat Murodjon Akhmadaliev on September 14 in Japan.
On July 19, David Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KOs) defeated Kensuke Kameda by majority decision. The Mexican currently holds the No. 1 spot in the WBC rankings.
