British heavyweight David Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs) has revealed his dream scenario: a high-stakes showdown with 41-year-old countryman and fan favorite Derek Chisora (34-13, 23 KOs), along with a shot at the British heavyweight title.
“I’d like to have one or two more fights, and then we’ll see. Maybe a fight with Derek Chisora. For me, that would be a dream come true.
He’s achieved far more than I have, and he was always the better fighter. But in my opinion, it could be a great fight. We might even sell out the O2 Arena.
Chisora is a bloody legend. Just stepping into the ring with him would be something incredible.
And after that — the British title. Maybe it sounds too good to be true, but that’s exactly what I dream of. I want it so badly,” said Allen.
In February, Chisora scored a unanimous decision win over Otto Wallin, proving he still has plenty left in the tank.
On May 17, Allen stopped Johnny Fisher via fifth-round TKO, a victory that was later broken down in a detailed statistical analysis — read the full report here.
