Danny Garcia Returns with Championship Fight

Former American world champion Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs) will return to the ring for the first time in two years, facing Cuban middleweight (up to 72.5 kg) WBA titleholder Erislandy Lara (30-3-3, 18 KOs).

The bout will take place on September 14 in Las Vegas, USA, as part of the undercard for the fight between undisputed super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) and Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs).

Danny Garcia last fought in July 2022 against Jose Benavidez Jr. (28-3-1, 19 KOs), winning by majority decision. Erislandy Lara's most recent bout was in March, where he won by stoppage against Michael Zerafa (31-5, 19 KOs).
