Carlos Adames and Hamzah Sheeraz Fight to a Draw

On February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Carlos Adames (25-1-1, 18 KOs) and Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 KOs) battled to a split draw in their WBC middleweight title fight.

The judges’ scorecards read: 115-114 for Sheeraz, 118-110 for Adames, and 114-114, resulting in a split draw.

This was Sheeraz’s first world title opportunity, while Adames was making his first official title defense. With the result, Adames retains his WBC championship.
