British Ex-Champion on Joshua: “He Was Knocked Out by a Fat Mexican Kid”

Former world champion Carl Froch shared why he believes Anthony Joshua should retire — and why he never considered him an elite fighter.

“In my opinion, AJ should retire.

He’s had a good run and done a lot for boxing, but he’s not elite — not if he was knocked out by that fat little Mexican kid,” said Froch, referring to Andy Ruiz Jr.

“Then he got schooled twice by Usyk, and now he’s been knocked out by Daniel Dubois. He’s got £150 million — what does he need another £20 million for? He could end up in a wheelchair,” Froch added.

After being stopped by Dubois, Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has not returned to the ring. He underwent elbow surgery following a period of recovery. Talks are ongoing for his next fight, with one rumored opponent being Jake Paul.
