Ramon Cardenas Makes Spectacular Return After Defeat by Inoue

In Fort Lauderdale, USA, a Super Bantamweight bout (up to 55.3 kg) took place between 30-year-old American boxer Ramon Cardenas and 25-year-old Mexican Erik Robles Ayala.

The fight ended inside the distance — first Cardenas sent his opponent to the canvas in the third round, and in the fifth, he caught Robles on the counter with a right hook and ended the confrontation. KO 5.

For Ramon Cardenas (27-2, 15 KOs), this was the first bout after the stoppage defeat to undisputed Super Bantamweight world champion Naoya Inoue in May of this year.

In March, Erik Robles (16-4, 10 KOs) met with Jesus Arechiga and lost by unanimous decision. The defeat to Cardenas became the third in the last four bouts for the Mexican.
