While the fight has not been officially confirmed, negotiations are underway and nearing the final stages. It was previously reported that Bohachuk could join Zuffa Boxing tournaments, and this bout might take place on January 23, 2026, as part of the promotion's debut event.

For Serhii (26-3, 24 КО), this could be his first fight following a loss in his rematch against Brandon Adams. Butaev (16-1, 12 КО) competed once in 2025, winning an 8-round bout against Artem Pugach by decision.
