British Heavyweight boxer David Allen spoke to Ready to Fight about his past sparring sessions with Oleksandr Usyk, during the Ukrainian champion’s preparation for one of his bouts.
“Oh, it was incredible. Incredible. He’s an incredible man. But I did well. If you asked Usyk to name a fighter who did better than expected—it would be me.
I gave him all sorts of trouble, and if he doesn’t admit that, he’s a liar. I stunned him.
Usyk is the best heavyweight of our generation. He should be considered one of the all-time greats. But if you pay me enough money, I’ll fight anyone.
In our last sparring session, he knocked me out. But I made it to the end,” Allen revealed.
In his previous fight, Allen avenged a loss by knocking out Johnny Fisher.
