Adames – Williams Fight Cancelled: New Opponent Urgently Sought for Austin

The bout between WBC Middleweight champion Carlos Adames (24-1-1, 18 KOs) and Austin Williams (19-1, 13 KOs) has been cancelled, reports The Ring.

Adames was forced to withdraw from the fight due to illness. The confrontation was scheduled to take place on January 31 in New York, USA, on the undercard of the match between Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson.

According to Williams' manager Sam Katkovski, a search for another opponent is currently underway so that Williamscan remain on the card.
