Daniel Dubois is a British professional boxer who competes in the heavyweight division. He was born on September 6, 1997, in London, United Kingdom.
Biography:
Daniel began boxing as a child and started serious training as a teenager. In his youth, he represented England at the international level, winning several titles in amateur boxing.
Career:
Dubois made his pro debut in 2017, quickly earning attention for his knockout power and aggressive style. In 2019, he won the British heavyweight title by defeating Nathan Gorman. That same year, he also got the WBO International and WBC Silver titles.
In 2020, Dubois suffered the first loss of his career in a fight against Joe Joyce. He returned to the ring in 2021 and scored a series of dominant wins.
In August 2023, Dubois faced Oleksandr Usyk in a fight for the unified world title but lost by KO.
In June 2024, he defeated Filip Hrgović to claim the IBF interim title and was later promoted to full champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt. In September of the same year, Dubois defended his title with a KO victory over Anthony Joshua.
